Verena studied textile design in Reutlingen, Amsterdam and Milan and also spent one semester at the Victorian College of Art in Melbourne in order to focus on fine arts. She completed her studies as a textile design engineer in Germany in 2003; a year later, she successfully completed a masters course at the Politecnico di Milano and received a scholarship from the Designlabor Bremerhaven for the field of exhibition design. Since then she has worked as a textile and exhibition designer and artist. From 2007 until April 2012 she was director and designer of the accessory label KVAST, which she founded together with Britta Knüppel.
At the moment Verena is working as a freelance designer for textiles, graphics and concepts.
She was born in Cologne on the 26 December, 1978.
